Osteopathy is a client-centred discipline that is based on understanding the relationship between structure and function in order to enhance the body’s inherent ability to heal. It relies on skilled manual therapeutic techniques to assess and treat the client, guiding the natural self-healing properties of the human body.

Osteopathic care is an efficient and effective solution, helping clients return to health and to their normal activities. Taking care of the body as a whole ensures that the whole body is in its most optimal state. Among other things, Osteopathy can help with:

- Acute or Chronic Pain
- Digestive Problems
- Muscle Spasms
- Respiratory Difficulties
- Postural Problems

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a form of treatment that involves inserting very thin needles through a person's skin at specific points on the body, to various depths. Research suggests that it can help relieve pain, and it is used for a wide range of other complaints.

Initial Appointment - Registered Massage Therapy

Registered Massage Therapy

Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health.

Registered Prenatal Massage Therapy

Prenatal Massage can ease discomfort associated with pregnancy, help the mother-to-be prepare for labor and give her nurturing emotional support. A specially designed pregnancy pillow is available for clients and can be used postpartum as well.

Cupping

Cupping relieves the body of tension using glass fire cups, or plastic cups and can be either stationary or moving. This technique is used to create suction along meridians on the body to stimulate blood flow and aid in muscle recovery.

Reiki

Reiki is a gentle hands-on treatment that provides clients with deep relaxation and release. Treatments can lower stress and anxiety levels, and relieve body tension and pain.

My name is Tanya Azzopardi. I have been an RMT for 5 years. I have provided my massage therapy service to clients in a clinic and home setting.

I believe movement plays a critical role in maintaining good health. Your body, muscles, joints, and bones all need movement. Through massage therapy we can optimize motion and achieve greater feelings of satisfaction.

I believe having an open line of communication with my clients when formulating a treatment plan is essential. When the two of us are working together to restore your health and well being, it will maximize our success in getting you to your goals.

The body is a complex system and the challenge of identifying areas where improvement is needed is something that I am passionate about. Each client has a unique system that requires a tailored treatment plan that reflects the specific goals and trouble areas.

“Hi! I’m Denae. I first became interested in a career in Massage Therapy at a young age with a desire to help heal people. I graduated with a diploma in Massage Therapy from Sir Sandford Fleming College in 2006, became registered that same year, and have been in practice since (minus two maternity leaves to have my daughters). In my years of practice, I have worked in many settings including rehab/acute injury management, spa, and health/wellness centres. I have also taken additional courses in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, myofascial release techniques, Aromatouch by doTerra, cupping, and Reiki. The combination of my experience and education means I bring a vast set of skills into every treatment, and can confidently help treat most complaints that clients are seeking treatment for. Some of my favourite things to treat include general wellness and relaxation, shoulder impairments, and, of course, pregnancy! After having two very different pregnancies of my own, I can empathize with many of the discomforts and complaints one feels during this magical time. It is my goal to help people experience pregnancy as comfortably and joyfully as possible. I am also passionate about Reiki and the energetic healing it can provide, especially to people who aren’t comfortable with physical touch, but want the benefits offered by alternative therapies. I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your health and wellness goals.”

I first became interested with massage therapy due to a injury that I received many years ago. Many years went by trying to figure out what was wrong. Finding that what worked for others didn’t alway work for me, there were many frustrating times in my life. I realized that every”body” is different and react differently to different modalities. With a combo of a few modalities and working on myself at the same time I was able to get my life back., it was not an easy road, I struggled with physical pain, mental health issues, body shaming (I have since lost 80lbs). Looking back on that part of my life now I think going through all of that helped me to be empathetic to peoples struggles, life isn’t easy and it’s and can be hard to find the light some times but the light is there, it always is. It has also taught me to be my own hero and I do believe that all of that has guided me to be the RMT I am today. I graduated CCMH 5 1/2 years go, in good standing with CMTO. I have been in both clinic and spa settings. I have taken cupping courses, mental health courses for RMT’s, headaches, Indie head, neck and shoulder course. With future interests of Cranial/sacral therapy, acupuncture, reflexology. I do believe in a balance of science/research and energy in massage therapy in body, mind and soul.
